Terms of Service
Okamic Ltd | Company No. 15958548 | Effective: 21 July 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of www.okamic.com and any purchase you make from Okamic Ltd. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
These Terms apply to consumers purchasing goods for personal, non-commercial use. If you are purchasing for business purposes, different terms may apply. Please contact us at hello@okamic.com before placing a business order.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be published on our website with an updated effective date. We will give you at least 14 days notice of any material change before it takes effect for existing customers. The version in force at the time you place your order governs that order.
2. About Us
Okamic Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15958548). Our registered address is 29 Beverly Road, Manchester, England, M14 6TH. You can contact us at hello@okamic.com or by post at the above address.
We are not currently VAT registered.
3. Eligibility
By placing an order you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract
- You are resident in a country to which we deliver
- The goods are for personal, non-commercial use unless you have agreed otherwise with us in writing
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion, including where we have reasonable grounds to believe these conditions are not met.
4. Account Registration
You may be invited to create an account on our website to manage your orders and preferences. If you register an account, you are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- All activity carried out under your account
- Notifying us immediately at hello@okamic.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including where we have reason to believe it has been used fraudulently, in breach of these Terms, or in a manner harmful to other customers or to our business.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@okamic.com. Closing your account does not affect the validity of any contract already in place for an outstanding order.
5. Orders and Contract Formation
Placing an order constitutes an offer from you to purchase goods at the price stated. A binding contract between you and Okamic Ltd is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email. Any automated acknowledgement of receipt of your order does not constitute acceptance.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to decline or cancel any order at any time before the order confirmation is issued. We may exercise this right if:
- An item is out of stock or has been listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical or system error
- We are unable to verify or authorise your payment
- We have reasonable grounds to suspect the order is fraudulent or placed in breach of these Terms
- You are located in a country we do not serve
- We are unable to fulfil the order due to circumstances outside our control
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund within 5 working days. We will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by a cancellation made in these circumstances.
We will contact you if a product becomes unavailable after your order has been confirmed. In that case you may choose an alternative product, accept a later delivery date, or cancel for a full refund.
6. Pricing, Payment, and Drip Pricing
All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. We are not currently VAT registered.
The total cost of your order, including any applicable delivery charges, will be shown clearly before you are asked to confirm your purchase. We do not add hidden fees or charges at any stage of the checkout process after the total has been presented to you. This is in line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
We take care to ensure all prices are accurate. If a pricing error is identified before your order has been confirmed, we will correct it and inform you. If a pricing error is identified after your order confirmation has been issued, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We are not obliged to supply goods at an incorrectly displayed price.
Payment is taken at the time of order via the methods shown at checkout. We do not store your full payment card details. All payment processing is handled by PCI DSS-compliant third-party providers.
7. Goods: Quality and Description
All goods supplied by Okamic Ltd will be:
- Of satisfactory quality, meaning they will meet the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking into account the price, description, and all other relevant circumstances
- Fit for the purpose for which goods of that type are generally supplied
- As described in the product listing at the time of purchase
These are implied terms under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and cannot be excluded or limited by any other term of this contract.
Minor variations in colour, texture, or finish may occur between product images and the goods received, due to photography, lighting, and screen calibration. Such variations do not constitute a fault or misdescription provided they are not material.
All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any product from sale at any time without notice.
8. Delivery and Transfer of Risk
Our current delivery timescales, options, and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is available on our website.
Goods remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or into the physical possession of a person you have identified to take delivery on your behalf. Once goods have been delivered to that point, the risk of loss or damage passes to you.
Title to the goods (ownership) passes to you at the point of delivery, provided that payment has been received in full.
Delivery timescales are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. We will not be liable for delays caused by the carrier or by circumstances outside our control, provided we have dispatched your order within the timeframe stated at checkout.
9. Import Duties, Customs Taxes, and International Orders
If you are ordering from outside the United Kingdom, your order may be subject to import duties, customs taxes, VAT, or other charges levied by the customs authority or government of your country. These charges are entirely your responsibility.
We have no visibility of, or control over, what these charges will be and we are not able to predict or estimate them. The amount varies by country, product type, and declared value and is determined solely by your local customs authority.
By placing an international order, you confirm that:
- You accept sole responsibility for any and all import duties, customs fees, taxes, and related charges that arise
- You have satisfied yourself that the goods may be lawfully imported into your country
- You understand that we will not reimburse these charges under any circumstances, including where you refuse or are unable to pay them
If you refuse to pay customs charges and the order is returned to us, we will refund the cost of the goods only, once they have been received and inspected. We will deduct the original outbound shipping cost from any refund issued in these circumstances. We will not refund the customs charges or any return handling fees charged by the carrier.
10. Cancellation and Returns
Your rights to cancel an order and return goods are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is available on our website.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of delivery without giving any reason. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods. This is in addition to any extended returns window we offer voluntarily.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a 30-day short-term right to reject goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, and to receive a full refund. After 30 days, your remedy may be repair, replacement, or a price reduction rather than a full refund, depending on the circumstances.
11. Promotional Codes, Discount Vouchers, and Sales
From time to time we may run promotions, issue discount codes or vouchers, and hold sales events. The following conditions apply to all promotions unless otherwise stated at the point of issue:
- One promotional code may be used per order. Codes cannot be combined with other codes or promotional offers unless explicitly stated.
- All promotions and sales are subject to availability and may be withdrawn, altered, or ended at any time at our sole discretion and without prior notice, including before their stated expiry date.
- Codes are valid only within the stated period and for the specified products or categories. Expired or out-of-scope codes will not be honoured.
- Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or any other form of compensation.
- A code may only be used by the person it was issued to. Codes are non-transferable unless we state otherwise.
- Where a return reduces an order below the minimum threshold required to qualify for a code or free shipping, we reserve the right to deduct the relevant benefit from the refund amount.
- If a code is applied to an order that is subsequently returned in full or in part, the refund will reflect only the amount actually paid. The promotional benefit will not be reinstated.
- Codes obtained from unauthorised third-party websites are not guaranteed to be valid and we are under no obligation to honour them.
We reserve the right to cancel, void, or reverse any order where a code or promotion has been used fraudulently, dishonestly, or in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose. We will not be liable to you for any loss arising from the withdrawal or invalidation of a promotion.
12. Reviews and User-Generated Content
We may invite customers to leave reviews of products or their shopping experience. If you submit a review:
- It must reflect your genuine, honest experience of the product or service
- It must not be defamatory, offensive, or misleading
- It must not be submitted in exchange for payment, a free product, or any other incentive unless this is clearly disclosed
We do not pay for, incentivise, or otherwise solicit positive reviews. We will not suppress or remove genuine negative reviews. This is in line with our obligations under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and the CAP Code.
By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and use that content on our website and in our marketing materials.
13. Product Safety and Recalls
All products we sell are intended to comply with applicable UK product safety regulations, including the Product Regulation and Metrology Act 2025 and any relevant safety standards.
In the event that a product is subject to a safety notice, withdrawal, or recall, we will:
- Notify affected customers by email as promptly as practicable
- Provide clear instructions on what to do with the affected product
- Arrange a remedy, which may be a repair, replacement, or refund, as appropriate
By purchasing from us, you agree to cooperate with any reasonable product safety measure, including a recall, and to follow the instructions we provide in such circumstances.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including but not limited to text, images, photographs, logos, product designs, graphics, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Okamic Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, republish, or otherwise exploit any content from our website without our prior written consent, except for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Our brand name, logo, and product names are trading names and trade marks of Okamic Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use them without our prior written permission.
15. Acceptable Use of Our Website
You agree not to use our website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent, or that infringes the rights of any third party. In particular, you must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, servers, or databases
- Transmit any unsolicited commercial communications
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect content or data from our website
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful material
- Use our website in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to our website at any time if we believe you are in breach of this clause.
16. Privacy, Data Protection, and GDPR
By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website and forms part of these Terms. You agree to the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with that policy as a necessary part of entering into and fulfilling your contract with us.
We process your personal data as a data controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The lawful basis for processing your data in connection with your order is contract performance. For marketing communications, the lawful basis is your explicit consent.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Data is shared only with the third parties necessary to fulfil your order, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
If our business is sold, merged, or transferred to a third party, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any new controller will be required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR. We will notify you by email prior to any such transfer where it is practicable to do so and where the transfer would materially affect how your data is used.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@okamic.com. For further information see our Privacy Policy.
17. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. By continuing to use our website, you consent to our use of strictly necessary cookies. 18. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those websites. You follow external links entirely at your own risk.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by English law, Okamic Ltd's total liability to you arising from or in connection with any order shall not exceed the total value of that order.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or damage to reputation arising from your use of our website or products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any defective product under the Consumer Protection Act 1987
- Any breach of implied terms under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, or goods matching their description
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law
20. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to natural disasters, pandemic or epidemic, fire, flood, strike or industrial action, civil unrest, failure of third-party services or infrastructure, governmental or regulatory action, or interruption of power or communications.
Where a force majeure event is likely to affect fulfilment of your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable and give you the option to wait, accept an alternative, or cancel for a full refund.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Returns and Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Okamic Ltd in relation to your purchase and use of our website.
They supersede all previous communications, representations, negotiations, and agreements between us relating to the same subject matter. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
22. Waiver
If we fail to enforce any right or provision of these Terms on any occasion, this does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision and does not prevent us from enforcing it on a future occasion. No waiver of any term shall be effective unless it is given in writing by a duly authorised representative of Okamic Ltd.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be severed from the rest of the Terms. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect as if the severed provision had never formed part of these Terms.
24. Variation
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. For minor or administrative changes, we will update the effective date on our website. For material changes that affect your rights, we will give you at least 14 days notice by email before the change takes effect, where we hold your contact details.
Your continued use of our website or placement of an order after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
25. Assignment
You may not transfer, assign, or otherwise deal with any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
We may transfer or assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity, for example in the event of a business sale or restructure, provided that your rights as a consumer are not adversely affected. We will notify you of any such transfer.
26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or any purchase shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer based in Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts. If you are based in Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of Northern Ireland.
